2020, the University of Namibia at
Windhoek was included in the LMS-MARM
Program promoted by the London
Mathematical Society,
The
African Mathematics Millennium
Science Initiative
and the International
Mathematical Union.

The aims of this two
days meeting are
|
|
|
To report
on one year of intense activity
within the LMS-MARM framework, and to
launch the NARM project
(Networking African Researchers in
Mathematics) whose first steps have
been already walked through seeds of
cooperation with Kenyan and Ethiopian
Math Departments, including extra
collaborations from Indonesia. |
|
|
|
to advertise the
main achievement of the current year
LMS-MARM activities (some Ph.D. Courses, a
Round Table, intense networking activities
with other African scientific realities)
and, above all, the implementation,
thanks to NCRST
and the sponsorship of LMS-MARM, of the
First Edition of the Namibiam Olynpiads of
Mathematics. |
to present a number of concrete
actions to be launched in 2022, to
promote the growing of Namibian
mathematics as a mean to reduce
social inequalities and to promote
economical development through
strengthening the relationships
with scientific, academic and
economical European Institutions.
In particular the First
International Namibian Spring
School in Mathematics (2022)
will be launched. |
